If All You Want is One Good Idea for Making Your Business Fortune ….. I Can Give You Hundreds!
by Avril Harper author of 'Bank Big Profits Selling Vintage Topographical View Postcards on eBay' and 'Make Money Tearing Up Old Books and Magazines and Selling Them on eBay'.
Today a fellow eBay seller and eBook publisher, working in the USA, gave me access to more than 1,000 articles he had commissioned for some of his business opportunity web sites and blogs.
The idea was for me to study some of those articles and rewrite them to use to generate traffic to some of my own web sites. But, having read just ten or so of those articles it struck me my readers might also like access to a heap of really unusual business ideas for making money on and off the Internet, including on eBay.
Such as:
* Print Make Believe Newspapers. This idea focuses on transferring photographs of people and pets onto make-believe magazine covers, where the pet or person becomes the focus of the headline and main front picture for the publication.
So you’ll find images of cats and dogs featuring beside headlines saying ‘Moggy’ or ‘Mutt’ has been declared best of his breed or has been named the most intelligent pet on the planet.
And you’ll find images of people on magazines declaring them best wife or husband of the century or saying he or she is the world’s greatest golfer, cook, musician, lover, cheat, and so on.
The end products sell on and off the Internet, including on eBay, both in complete newspaper or magazine format or as front page mounted and framed.
At Christmas and throughout the year profits can be really high for very little work or overheads involved.
See for yourself at sites belonging to companies providing services similar to those you might soon be offering:

http://www.covervision.com

http://www.inthepaper.co.uk
Find sites offering free and low cost software to make and personalise your publications, also lots of ideas to run your business by keying ‘fake + magazine’ into the search box at google.com
You’ll find at least fifty sites on the first few pages following your search where you can upload photographs and download finished designs free for whatever item you’ll present to paying customers. Some also give advice about choosing your own unique titles, creating articles and headlines, sourcing paper and frames for your finished goods, and much more besides.
But study the rules carefully at those sites because some do and some do not allow their sites to be used for commercial creations.
* Make Personalised Candles. Candles are hot products on and off eBay, especially at Christmas and for special events such as weddings and christenings, retirement parties and Valentine’s Day. But it’s personalised candles that prove the best sellers on and off eBay, for which people will pay high prices and often buy in bulk.
Check out eBay prices by keying ‘personalised candle’ into the search box top of the page at ebay.co.uk and you’ll find wedding candles personalised with name of bride and groom selling at two or three pounds each but only available in units of 100 plus. There are candles with the child’s name and year printed to mark Baby’s First Christmas, and memorial candles marking the first Christmas since a loved one died. And at the following sites you’ll find hundreds of ideas and designs for candles priced ten or twenty pounds each or several hundred pounds for examples encrusted with gems and beads:

Candle making is not a particularly difficult, expensive or time-consuming craft and the raw materials are readily available on eBay or from craft stores and online suppliers, also on eBay.
Best sellers I spotted on eBay last Christmas had photographs set into the wax featuring recipients or persons commemorated in candles and with their names engraved or piped on the wax. Candles made in the shape of Christmas trees, crackers, snowmen and other seasonal images fetched a premium over plain design personalised candles.
For all year round appeal consider making wedding candles featuring names and photographs of bride and groom. To be really different operate a custom service where you take photographs of guests at the wedding or have wedding organisers send photographs and orders to you for candles featuring individual guests or family groups.
